Access Guide
This guide covers the different processes that users will need to go through to access your Party Bus application in IL2, IL4, and IL5 Staging and Production.
Zero Trust Access Requirements
- P1 requires the use of Zero Trust Software Defined Perimeter (SDP), Appgate, for access to all IL4 and IL5 applications. Users have two Appgate options--either install the full client software on their computer, or use the web proxy version, called Appgate Portal. By default, Party Bus implements DNS routing to ensure all IL4 Staging/Production applications are behind Appgate Portal. (If the use of the full client is desired for IL4, please submit a ticket to the Party Bus MDO team.) Per P1 cybersecurity policy, access to all IL5 applications requires the use of Appgate full client software.
- For those accessing Party Bus IL4 and IL5 applications from within the DoD Information Networks (DoDIN), P1 has implemented either the use of Appgate Portal or an Appgate whitelist (exception). For some use cases, a whitelist exists due to Appgate software not being on the DoDIN Approved Products List (APL). After Appgate is approved and placed on the DoDIN APL, Party Bus DoDIN customers will be contacted to have Appgate installed on their computers and whitelists will be revoked. This strategy ensures compliance with the DoD's and Dept of the Air Force's mandates to implement Zero Trust technology by 2027 to improve the DoD's cybersecurity posture.
- For those accessing from the Internet (outside the DoDIN), the use of Appgate Portal (for IL4) or Appgate full client (for IL4 or IL5) is required.
- For more documentation regarding the use of Appgate, refer to CNAP's documentation .
NOTE
The MDO team can only grant access to Argo, Fortify, and SonarQube. For all other access requests, please submit a Razor Crest Help Desk Ticket or send an email to aflcmc.hncx.helpdesk@us.af.mil.**
